About The MD - Helen Agutter ACAHelen qualified as a chartered accountant with Horwath Clark Whitehill in 1998. Her natural ability was quickly recognised and she was swiftly headhunted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, the world’s leading professional services group and the largest of the ‘Big Four’ global accountancy firms.
Helen spent the next three years at PwC working as a manager in audit. This role gave her invaluable experience in the discipline of assessing and reporting the financial statements of a wide and varied range of corporate clients. It also helped her to understand how different companies operate – how they thrive and why they fail. From here, Helen was again poached – this time by the venture capital division of Swiss financial services giant UBS, where she further developed her skills and experience as a risk assessment specialist and financial management consultant across an international client base. It would have been easy for Helen to continue progressing onwards and upwards in London. But instead she chose to start her own company, focusing on the needs of small businesses.
